A friend of mine suggested I use D2 Storefront to create an online store for my site sponsors Items. I got the program, but I literally have no idea what I am supposed to do.
Is there an "Installing and use for Dummies" for this program?

Hi Rick, have you been through the docs at http://www.d2-storefront.com/D2StoreFront-Documentation.htmThey assume a certain knowledge of how ASP.NET applications are set up. Which bit are you stuck on (dont say all of it!)? Are you setting it up locally to test or putting it onto a hosting providers box? Paul

Dear Rick,
I haven't read the support documents, but I would assume that setting up D2 StoreFront requires at least an intermediate level of Microsoft network administrator skills. The process of setting up MS SQL Server Express edition and understanding all of the database connection settings and then installing/using MS Information Internet Services and the DNS settings perhaps local to your network and publicly (at Network Solutions for example) exercise a lot of network admin skill. Modifying the config file is also complicated for the uninitiated.
There is clearly a spectrum of installation ease. On the easy side there is installing Microsoft Word, on the difficult side is setting up a web based application (such as D2 StoreFront.)
I realize your post was back from April, but if look at this thread again, I’d like to know your level of experience/comfort with computers. And I’d like to know if you ended up setting up a D2 StoreFront or some other web based store front.
Thanks, Kevin
